Chesham

Chesham was acquired by Matterhorn Capital Data Centres in October 2010. The site is located in a light industrial area approx one mile from the centre of Chesham and is 6.5 acres. The site has planning permission granted for the development of a 235,000 sq ft data centre in one building.

Matterhorn has submitted a new planning application for the construction of two data centres on the site each having a gross area of 115,000 sq ft. Each data centre is a two storey building, the ground floor houses the mechanical and electrical plant and equipment and the first floor comprises three individual data halls each of 14,500 sq ft giving a total nett technical area of approximately 45,000 sq ft per building. A two storey ancillary accommodation block housing security, loading bay, offices and toilets is located at the front of each building.

Chillers, Generators and UPS are arranged on a N+1 basis with A and B electrical distribution through to A and B PDU’s. Cooling in the data halls will be via CRAC units.

The chillers and generators are located in a two storey plant compound at the front of the building.
